Safety concerns arise when families have to perform the complex diabetes care tasks associated with sick day management. This poster reviews common failures in the process identified by the care team and describes a simulation delivered via telehealth as a way for families to practice sick day management in a safe environment using the resources they have on hand at home. The authors also share a one-page tool that was successfully used during the simulations.
