(P517) Is CGM Alone Appropriate for All People with Diabetes on MDI Therapy? Confidence versus Aptitude

With the expanded access to CGM therapies, Bigfoot and Seagrove Partners sought to find out if people living with insulin-requiring diabetes demonstrate confidence and aptitude in using CGM alone. Understanding the challenges of technology, numeracy, and diabetes distress, we wanted to learn more about abilities versus aptitude. We found that many people with diabetes need additional support despite having high confidence in actions to take in response to CGM readings. Learn about the survey findings and the critical role that the DCES can play in individualizing education and utilizing support tools to meet the needs of each individual.
