(P238) Understanding the Nutritional Needs of Patients Experiencing Homelessness and at Risk for Diabetes

Mitigating health outcomes that lead to disease in the homeless may require a food system transformation that provides all individuals with both the means and understanding to access healthy diets. With all the competing priorities that are at play in homelessness, it is unclear whether providing nutritional education remains an important consideration in the daily life of these individuals. This poster reviews a quality improvement project designed to assess the nutritional needs of patients at risk for diabetes who are experiencing homelessness in Boston.
