(P312) Reducing Hypoglycemia Events in Surgical Patients With Diabetes: An Interdisciplinary Team Intervention

Hypoglycemia events in post-operative patients with diabetes are associated with a significant risk of increased postoperative morbidity and long-term all-cause mortality. Reducing hypoglycemic events in surgical patients with diabetes helps to reduce postoperative complications, morbidity, and length of stay. This poster presentation will show how a multifaceted interdisciplinary team intervention centered around collaboration can help reduce hypoglycemia events in surgery patients with diabetes.
