Pharmacists undergo holistic entry-level training in evidence-based medicine as well as the social, behavioral, and communication aspects of patient care. This allows for both building rapport and effective therapeutic decision-making to optimize care. Timely adjustments to therapy through collaborative drug therapy management (CDTM) are expected to enhance non-prescribing pharmacist services, provide more efficient care, and meaningfully contribute to improvement in diabetes outcomes. This poster describes a systematic review undertaken to evaluate the impact of pharmacist interventions that include CDTM on glycemic management in patients with diabetes.
