Few studies examine the attitudes of patients with DKD or risk stratification tools. An intrinsic barrier to undertaking a risk stratification test is knowledge, awareness, and desire to know the risk of kidney disease. This study aimed to explore the baseline knowledge about kidney disease and T2D as major contributing factors, alongside other motivators.
