(P513) Integrating Continuous Glucose Monitors into Practice: Health Care Team Education and Perspectives

Continuous glucose monitor (CGM) technology has transitioned from a predominantly specialty prescribed technology to broader utilization among patients with all types of diabetes. Healthcare providers in a variety of practice settings work with patients utilizing CGM but may lack confidence, education, and resources to optimally support and manage these patients' care. This poster reviews a study to assess healthcare provider and staff knowledge and confidence in using CGM as part of a patient’s diabetes treatment plan and to determine opportunities to increase education to the healthcare team on CGM.
