(P610) The Diabetes Symposium: Innovation & Challenges During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Delivery of education to update healthcare professionals in the care of diabetes patients was challenging during the Covid-19 pandemic. This poster discusses the impact and challenges of transitioning a long-standing in-person diabetes symposium for healthcare professionals to a virtual platform. The poster’s authors reinforce the need for continued re-evaluation of education delivery methods during world events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, and outline the benefits, challenges, and recommendations for offering this in the foreseeable future.
