With the rising prevalence of diabetes worldwide, the need for specialized healthcare professionals who can effectively educate, manage, and treat this chronic condition has become increasingly vital. This poster provides an overview of an ambulatory care pharmacy residency training program that places a primary focus on diabetes management designed to provide comprehensive training in all aspects of diabetes care, including patient education, treatment, and ongoing management. This program helps residents gain a deep understanding of the pathophysiology of diabetes, its various types, and associated complications and facilitates them working closely with experienced endocrinologists, certified diabetes care education specialists, and multidisciplinary teams engaging in hands-on experiences, such as patient consultations, medication management, lifestyle counseling, and diabetes technology management.
