(P413) Successfully Transitioning a Support and Resource Group for Youth with T1D to a Virtual Format During the Pandemic

The pandemic contributed to feelings of isolation in children with diabetes who already struggled. It exacerbated the need to continue the services offered by the Diabetes and Parent Group, which was designed to provide education, resources, and support for high-risk youth with T1D and their families. This poster outlines the changes developed by the multidisciplinary team to transition to a virtual format and build sessions that engage youth and families with peers. The poster authors outline methods and motivation factors that increased participation and attendance in the group and provide insight into the evidence for ongoing development and the transition back to in-person sessions.
