(P301) Your Guide to Success: Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM)

The Board Certified - Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) is a credential offered by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) for clinicians with a graduate degree who practice advanced diabetes management. Clinicians holding the BC-ADM certification manage complex patient needs and assist patients with their therapeutic problem-solving. Within their scope of practice, BC-ADMs adjust medications, treat and monitor acute and chronic complications and other comorbidities, counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, address psychosocial issues, and participate in research and mentoring, among others. This poster reviews the eligibility requirements to become BC-ADM certified, lists resources and frequently asked questions, and maps out where BCADM holders are practicing in the US and globally.
