Professional societies endorse and patients express a preference for the continuation of wearable diabetes technology when hospitalized. In June of 2021, The Joint Commission (TJC) published Quick Safety 59 that recommended organizations validate the accuracy of a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) against a hospital glucose meter for patients continuing use during hospitalization. This poster outlines a project aimed to improve nursing documentation of CGM validation through the implementation of actionable clinical decision support (CDS) integrated into the standard nursing workflow.
