(P512) Initiating Continuous Glucose Monitors in Hospitalized Patients with Newly Diagnosed Diabetes

This poster describes the initiation of Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) in newly diagnosed adult and pediatric patients in the inpatient setting. The authors review the benefits and considerations for initiating diabetes technology at diagnosis, and how to align the process with ADA/EASD recommendations for initiation of CGM therapy. Additionally, inclusion/exclusion criteria and hospital policies are mentioned, as well as the selection process used to determine use of Dexcom versus Freestyle Libre CGMs in this inpatient population.
