For many, the thought of conducting research can seem overwhelming and even intimating. You might think, “Where do I start?” or “I am so busy, how can I possibly fit research into my already packed schedule?” Our research experts are here to help! In this session, attendees will learn the basics of research in a speed-networking style roundtable discussion, facilitated by ADCES Research Committee members, and an ADCES journal editor. Whether you are new to research or simply looking to connect with researchers in diabetes care and education, the roundtable discussions will provide new information and an expanded network of research mentors. Here are the table topics that will be available during this session:

• Research vs. evidence-based practice-know the difference
• Getting started in research
• Managing time between clinical practice and research
• Understanding qualitative research vs. quantitative research
• Hot research topics in diabetes technology
• Developing research collaborations
