The COVID-19 pandemic created many unique challenges for our healthcare system. During this time, it was critical for the diabetes care and education specialist to proactively partner with and support their frontline colleagues in providing safe and reliable diabetes care. Join one north Texas health system as they share their journey on implementing an evidence-based order set for the SQ management of mild and moderate DKA in the hospital. What started amid COVID-19 has now expanded across the entire healthcare system and created sustainable partnerships among the interdisciplinary team to improve diabetes care.
