Many people living with diabetes struggle with financial stress and tight budgets. Eating right does not have to be cost-prohibitive. This presentation will address a few potential barriers and solutions such as a lack of knowledge of available resources and how to put together easy, quick, and tasty meal and snack ideas on a budget. We will use a video tour of a 99 cents store to showcase all the options available and share information about how to use these ingredients in meals and snacks that are diabetes friendly. We will also share examples of real client situations that will also improve attendees’ understanding and skill in using the information in their practice.
