People with diabetes may have various mental health concerns that require medication management. However, some medications can inadvertently affect their glucose, weight, and/or blood pressure. Concerns also exist for persons at risk for diabetes taking these medications. The presenter will review which psychiatric medications can have this effect, discuss the clinical impact they may cause, and provide alternative options to minimize metabolic effects through case scenarios..
