Gender diversity has an impact on clinical practice and therefore warrants a frank look at the risks and barriers to care faced by gender-diverse persons. This session will elaborate on the etiquette and appropriate language of gender and review how to overcome barriers to reduce risks and improve clinical outcomes in this patient population. Attendees will come away with strategies to implement meaningful practice changes to expand patient care and access for gender-diverse individuals.
