Many working people still face financial hardship. The United Way came up with the acronym ALICE, which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, to describe people in this category. Partnering with self-funded employers to increase access to Diabetes Self-management Education & Support, as well as to the National Diabetes Prevention Program, can help them lower their costs and improve the health of their employees. This session describes how attendees can accomplish these partnerships by establishing key performance indicators to set and measure outcomes for their programs that employers understand.
