Research shows that the lowest adoption of diabetes technology use occurs in the African American and Hispanic populations irrespective of insurance status or age. This session will review the barriers to technology utilization in underserved populations as well as practical strategies to overcome these barriers and increase technology use. In addition, this session will specifically describe the implementation of a CGM remote patient monitoring program for participants enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan led by clinical pharmacists, and how this program addressed health disparities.
