With the high prevalence of eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image distress among people with diabetes, the CDCES has a vital role in the prevention of these mental health conditions that have physical ramifications. Many interventions are available for the DCES to help foster a healthy relationship with food and body. In this session, we will discuss risk factors for eating disorders among people with diabetes as well as impactful interventions for prevention and treatment. The DCES will leave with a toolbox of interventions and increased confidence in utilizing these tools in patient care.
