The demand for innovative approaches to education and support for people living with diabetes is on the rise as healthcare organizations seek to address the rising cost of managing diabetes and other cardiometabolic conditions. Microlearning has gained some traction as a means of delivering education and training to patients and healthcare providers alike. This session seeks to provide an understanding of what microlearning is and isn’t. Discuss the evidence supporting its use in diabetes care and education. Finally, the presenter will cover how, and when to consider using microlearning in a DSMES program to improve patient engagement in their care.
