Well-trained and highly motivated lifestyle coaches have significant impacts on participant outcomes in CDC-recognized lifestyle change programs. Many of the learned techniques from DPP can be transferred to working with patients on diabetes self-management education and support. In this session, participants will learn about key coach competencies, ways to assess coach quality, excelling at group facilitation, as well as ways to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
