DCESs may encounter patients who have had transplants and therefore need to understand more about their care and education to support optimal outcomes. This session discusses the incidence and effects of hyperglycemia on patients with transplanted organs. The presenter will review the medications that cause hyperglycemia, as well as the medications that treat it. In addition, the presenter will cover other practice considerations for the management of patients with post-transplant diabetes.
